Located just south of Carnes, this deck girder bridge crosses an unnamed field drainage ditch alongside Iowa Highway 60.
Built in 1907, the bridge consists of a single through girder span, set onto concrete substructures. Little alterations appear to have been made to the bridge since construction. Railroad records indicate that the steel span was originally set on timber substructures. It appears that the concrete abutments were added after 1918.
It appears that this bridge once crossed 500th Street, which has been realigned and abandoned underneath the bridge. It seems that this was the original intent of using such a large span here.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition, with little notable deterioration.

The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
